Last weekend was our meet for MAWRA (Mid-Atlantic Whippet Racing Association) under the CWA program. Butters (Ch. Surrey Hill's Golden Boy) practiced on Saturday then entered as the only puppy on Sunday. He had 3 beautiful runs. He qualified for the match for being High Score Puppy and took a 2nd place behind his beautiful half-sister Caper, Surrey Hill's Petaluma.
Baby Bernie (Mariner's Drunken Sailor) is now box broken at 7.5 months of age and will start puppy racing in July.

- My name is Kristen Fredericks and I'm owned by the Mariner Whippets. My partner is Shelton Carter. We live in historic Smithfield, VA in a renovated c. 1754 Tidewater farmhouse at the mouth of the Pagan and James Rivers. The Mariner Whippets do EVERYTHING! We participate in AKC conformation shows, racing and lure coursing. They are also highly gifted in the sport of food stealing, bed hogging and just being cute.
